This two-part webinar series, Discovery 101, presented by CELA's Barristers Committee, will focus on written discovery, the meet and confer process, discovery motion guidelines, and depositions.

Discovery is broad but can also be utilized to get ahead and pin down the case from the get go. This two-part webinar series will focus on common issues to watch for and tips to avoid getting bogged down in the minutiae and gamesmanship with opposing counsel with written discovery, meet and confer process and depositions. The end goal of discovery is really akin to orchestrating a plan of attack to ensure that you as the party with less information can get what you need as early as possible to gear up for depositions, rebut any potential motion for summary judgment, and present compelling evidence at mediation, arbitration, and/or trial.

Part 2 will cover depositions, including videotaping, timing, objecting, preparing witnesses for depositions, and more.
